Constantly adjusting side view miorror

I seem to be constantly adjusting the side view mirror on the drivers side. I don't like any of my car doors to be slamed shut so I don't think it's that. Doesn't seem to be a problem on the passenger side but then again, that side is not used as much. Has anyone else had this problem and is it something that the service dept can tighten up????

Go out to the car and push on the mirror. If it doesn't move, then you have some other problem, but if it moves, then the service department will probably have to order a new mirror.

Closing the door should not affect the mirrors, because there probably isn't enough weight or mass in the mirror to cause it to move.

I had to laugh with this thread. Not that I know this is the problem.. but I can just imagine everytime he's adjusting his mirrors and seat everytime he gets in the car he comes back to unlock the door and it all goes back the way it was becuase he never saves his settings...and to imagine him cursin at the car everytime wondering why the hell he's having to adjust the seat and mirrors everytime he gets in his car would make me laugh.

Goes to show you gotta know your TL! I could never imagine my parents or grandparents owning a car like this and using it to its full potential. I'm surprised to see so many "elderly" people driving this car in my area. I mean you gotta be a techy person to some degree to utilize the full potential of this car! It's a technical car and I love it being the geek that I am ;P

also, one of the side mirrors will automatically tilt down when you put the car into reverse. You can choose which one tilts with the mirror adjust switch. This is helpful for parallel parking. But I agree, he probably has his settings saved wrong, and they are resetting when he uses his key fob.

Mirror

Went out and pushed on the mirror and yes it does move but with some effort and clicks with each movement, which I think is normal. I also readjusted the side view mirror and then reset the seat/mirror memory,,,,,,now lets see what happens. Thanks guys for the suggestions....Will report back
