Cheaper, Better Wipers from Honda!
4/14/16 Update: New part numbers:
76620-T2F-A01 and 76630-T2F-A01
I know, another wiper thread But this is a quick discovery that is going to save me at least 80 dollars a year!
My Honda Accord has the same design as the Bosh Icon wipers that we love, but it has replaceable rubber inserts! I had to replace the inserts on the honda and they were 7 bucks for the pair at my local honda dealer! I realized that they are the same length as on the TL (19 & 26 inches)! I swapped the wipers from the accord to the TL and they clean amazingly well! All you do is snap the clip up, slide the old ones off and slide the new ones on! So the next time I need wipers I have my alternative. Being in FL I end up replacing them every 6 months or so so that's 70 dollars saved on the TL alone since the icons are 40 dollars for the pair! Then I have the wipers that I would have bought for the accord! As well the MDX's driver side wiper is the same 26 inches long so I have a replacement as well for that!
I've ordered the wiper arms/rubber holder from my local dealer for my TL for 20 and 17 dollars! Here's a link to the part images and the breakdown:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...NDSHIELD+WIPER
Part 17: BLADE, WINDSHIELD WIPER (650MM) 76620-TA0-A01 $20.16
Part 19: BLADE, WINDSHIELD WIPER (475MM) 76630-TA0-A01 $16.36
Replacement inserts:
Part 18: Rubber Blade 650MM 76622-STK-A02 $4.13
Part 20: Rubber Blade 475MM 76632-TA0-A02 $3.80
The Bosch Icon are installed, the Honda accord wipers are above. They are 95% similar, the honda one seems to have a larger "wing" area:

I am going to place an order tomorrow.
They would certainly look better than my stock wipers too.
Thanks for the heads up!

Yup! They look like the icons but without the ugly bump in the center! Plus they clean just as good if not better compared to icons I put on 3 months ago!

I don't understand. You replaced the entire TL arm with an Accords? Why?
I've been replacing JUST the inserts with inserts from an Accord since I got my car. They run me like $6-8 a piece...
Edit: Apparently I don't read. What's so special about the Icons arm?

nice find. These arent exactly like the boschs, but more of a hybrid aero design that's superior to those frame-less wipers. I'm not a fan of icons myself.
edit: they're like the rain-x fusion in terms of design. http://www.rainx.com/product/wiper-b.../#.Ug4xhJLbPng

Put me in the me too camp. Swapping out the inserts on all my Hondas/Acuras for years and never any issues.

Hey I started a thread exactly about this topic last year... Lol
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/wiper-blades-compatibility-859774/
I had tried my friend's 2010 accord coupe wipers and it fits but there was a snap on clip on the wiper that wouldn't snap into the TL wiper arms

2016 Acura TLX
I walked past a newer Accord today and thought of the same thing. Researched the blade sizes and they were the same. And here I thought I was going to be the first lol.
Anyways, I'll buy these tomorrow from the parts dept and post pics. Mine are still the original still but are faded white. I think the previous owner just bought inserts.

I took the wipers off my accord and put them on the TL and they were a perfect fit! I'll take photos in the daylight when I have a chance.

in for photos! i threw out my TL wiper sets a while back but all aftermarket wipers have been crappy and streak a lot in the lower left corner. i was just about to buy TL wiper sets (wiper and blade) but i'll wait for pics and see how they are.
so they work better than TL OEM wipers? out of all the wiper sets in the last 5 years nothing has compared to the OEM wipers unfortunately

This is a good idea! Thanks! However, I have had the Bosch Icons on my car for about a year now and they still work great. They are actually the best wipers I have purchased (at first I was leery about some of the reviews and the cost!!) and the first to handle rain at highway speeds without streaking/chattering, etc. I know everyone has different experiences, just sharing mine.

Does anyone know if the 2014 Accord wipers are compatible with our cars? I did a quick search and it seems that 2014 Accord uses 650mm and 475mm blades like ours.
Any ideas?

No clue on it but I doubt honda changed their simple design of putting on a wiper-blade. I'll have pictures tomorrow!

how the heck do you spend $80/year on wiper blades?
for those that arent satisfied with OE wiper longevity, just use PIAA refills in the original frames. They might be $12 per blade but they last a long time. I've had my pair for 2 years and they still wipe well.
I did a review of sorts here:
off topic but i dislike that youtube embed bug btw. Mods? this has been an issue for a long time.

just did the swap past weekend. Works great.. no noise.. BUT .. not sure if windshield .. when it wipes it misses a chunk on the driver side, vs my old Bosch ones which wipes everything.. -_-

New to the forum, but its always cheaper to ask for price match (even though these are cheap already) from other dealerships to your dealerships - check out majestichonda or college hills honda for cheap prices, and most of your nearby dealerships will price match the best they can.
