Change out bad motor mounts 3G TL

Hey what's up acurazine ok so heres my issue my motor mounts are all shot i started to notice this rumbling sound everytime i would put the vehicle in reverse. As time went on i started to hear it more progressively to where now i can here it even after i turn the car on. So i was looking around for some motor mounts autozone has some duralast brand that go for about $100 a mount. I also checked out Rockauto and can get them for about $75. Now my question is how do these motor mounts stack up against the OEM mounts from acura. I know they are hydraulic mounts so i can make sure i get the right ones but i just want to know as far as quality goes will they hold up. I just dont want to have to end up changing them again after like 20,000 miles. Thanks for the help!

We sell a replacement kit that replaces all three mounts for $300 not including shipping. Our mounts are made from Mild steel and polyurethane for great fitment and performance. They'll hold up better than stock!

These cars have 6 mounts total (3 on the motor, and 3 on the transmission). Pretty tricky to figure out exactly which ones are bad. The two lower trans mounts can be checked in the wheel well, the upper tras mount can be checked by removing the airbox. The passenger side engine mount can be checked by popping off the plastic panels along the side of the engine bay. Not sure how to check the front & rear engine mounts.

Personally I would recommend OEM mounts.

And if 1 or 2 are bad it's stressing the already worn others... might as well replace them all.

Can you name all 6?

so far I've gotten front, side, rear for the engine. Lower tranny mount for the manual.

aside from the engine ones, there are 3 for the transmission (2 lower, 1 top). for 07-08 autos, there is only 1 lower and 1 top

i would recommend you buy oem mounts, dont try to save money on the aftermarket mounts because they are lower quality. notice one of the tranny mount for autos and manuals are different, you could replace front, right engine mount and top tranny mount by yourself, the rest are a bit difficult to do.

How did you replace the lower transmission mount?

I had my engine mounts looked at and my trans mounts were also SHOT. He couldnt even replace my rear engine mount untill i bought the trans mounts too. It is best to do it all at once. I bought OEM and it cost me total about $500 for all 6 mounts.

I work for a dealership so I get 50% off labor. I think in total its about 3-4 hours labor, so it depends on your local labor rates.

I try to avoid my job and paying someone to do something I can do myself. Mounts is something I can not fuck with though.
