use a butter knife wrapped in a cloth.
start from the back end or the end that is closest to the arm rest.
Carefully pry up on the alum. piece. Clips are holding it in.
work your way to the radio stack, being careful not to bend the alum. piece

I used 3M DiNoc carbon fiber vinyl on mine and it came out great. Its really easy to use too, you just need a heat gun for applying it

Center trim damage

I simply took the left and right out, cleaned them with a rag and soap then spray painted them. Dried in no time and pop them back in. The left one wears down quicker due to common rubbing on it nearly everyday. Don't like the gloss black? Do a matte black, etc. I bought mine with black from previous owner painted them but I find a good krylon silver that matches nearly identical to my exterior plus interior areas here and there that looks fantastic. I'll eventually go back to black but otherwise the wrap is a pain in the a-hole to get on properly and buying the parts even used are way too expensive; spray paint it.

I bought brand new pieces and wrapped them in a clear bra material. They came out shiny, and now they're protected.
