Canadian Price
Just got a call from my dealer, Acura East in Ajax ON. The price for the base TL in Canada is $40.8K. Thats amazing. The 03 Type S was $41.8K. The base model is without navi and in Canada without blue tooth. The navi option with blue tooth bumps the price to $44K. I don't know the 6MT price.
A-Specs are going for as low as $37K - $38K....

Wow! The price for the Auto/Navi is a full $3000 less than I was planning on! I guess that means that I'll bet getting the optional 18's and body kit!?!
On the other hand, that is almost too affordable compared to the competing models (G35, 330 etc)...maybe this could result in seeing an excessive amount of 04 TLs on the road? That wouldn't be really kewl...it is nice to be "exclusive"....

Thing is about the TL it really is the bread and butter car for Acura, so really do expect to see a large number of them on the streets. The price is really much better than i ever would have guessed for the base model which i figured would be 42,000.

The Acura.com site is updated now. They have removed all reference to the 03 TL and are now showing the 04tl. I am a little pissed. The 6MT option in the states is the same price as the 5AT. I don't want the 6MT but I sure want those brakes. Also in Canada the hands free blue tooth is not standard. You have to take the navi or the 6MT (dynamic option). I guess thats why the base price is lower. They get us on the packages.
Anybody have a point of view on which spoiler looks better. There are two shown, a lip spoiler and the wing spoiler. I like the lip personally. Also the aero stuff doesn't seem to add much to the look. On the US site you can select and deselect the option and the picture of the car changes accordingly. Neat.

I personally like the like spoiler based on the pics I've seen thus far. It is difficult however to really know unless you've seen it for real. I don't think I'll get to see a TL until a week Wednesday at the dealership VIP event.

No Navi with 6MT
It seems that in Canada we will not be able to get the Navi with the 6MT. Packages are Base TL, Navi/auto TL or Dynamic 6MT. Also we are limited on the choices of colors.
I cannot understand why Acura Canada does this since these cars are built in the US with all options available. Why the difference??

I'm just guessing but I am thinking the reason we don't get the fog lights is because we need the daytime running lights and they could not do that with the new HID system so they had to put in a light that was equivalent to a reduced power high beam which is what the daytime running lights are.
