Can’t find transmission filter under air intake on 2007 TL 3.2

Can’t find transmission filter under air intake on 2007 TL 3.2
Been looking online to see where the transmission fluid filter is at and people are saying it’s under the air intake, so I took that off and still can’t find it. Just got the car and I hardly know anything about it.

you can't change the ATF filter on the 07-08 model, well unless you decide to unbolt the transmission from the engine block. 04-06 model has external filter and its easy to change.

As others have said, the 07-08 is located inside the housing and not worth your time or effort to change.
If your end goal is preventative trans maintenance, regular trans fluid changes and pressure switch replacements will do you fine. You already have an advantage with having an 07 with the "better" transmission.
