Caliper Recommendations

One of the first mods I'm looking to do is painting my calipers. I have to service my brakes soon. I'm looking to do EBC pads and rotors. That's beside the point. While I have my calipers are hung up I figured it would be an opportune time to paint my calipers, so I have some questions.

By the way, I have the 6MT trim so it has Brembo front calipers and a regular single piston caliper on the rears.

A.) What do you guys think is the best color to paint my calipers? The car itself is grey so I was looking at doing either red or white.

B.) What are the best kits to do this job?

C.) What is the best way to go about taping and covering the caliper off?

D.) Best coating to keep brake dust and road debris from destroying the paint job?

E.) Are covers for the rear calipers worth the buy?

dont do red.

pick anything but red.
and if you browse acurazine, you'll see that we like to paint the brembos!!
most people paint it a fancy color like, lexus pearl white, or tiffany blue.
the calipers really pop out if you have aftermarket rims.

red is just played out.

also, there are numerous threads on how to paint, what kit to use, and how to tape off.

painting calipers in 60 secs or less
generally, since, you'll be hanging inside the wheel well, you'll want to sand the paint off.
then any kind of high heat paint kit will do. as stated, people do wild colors with standard high heat paint kits. duplicolor kit comes to mind.
next, pick up a brembo or acura decal stick it on there and then use a clear to clear over the sticker and paint.

voila!

I appreciate the response brah, much needed. Red was just a general statement, but I was seriously considering white because of the color of my car. My only worry with white is that it'll get dirty AF.

I like my VHT burnt copper. It would work well with the silver and if you still have orange side markers it kinda echos those color touches.

B.) What are the best kits to do this job?

Any high temp paint will work. I used engine paint. Its more about prep.

C.) What is the best way to go about taping and covering the caliper off?

you can pull a plastic garbage bag through the caliper and over the disc. tape for the inside and bleed nipple. plastic sheeting for the rest.

D.) Best coating to keep brake dust and road debris from destroying the paint job?

Nice high temp auto clear.

E.) Are covers for the rear calipers worth the buy?

Meh. Its one thing to paint what's already there and another to add fake cosmetic coverings.

i liked mine in red justin
Then again I feel like CBP was more difficult to match with than other colors - might go with another color one day

Good looking out on the feedback everyone. I think I'm either going to go with a white or a dark silver, like a gunmetal.
