Which bulb recommendation for '07 TL(S) fog lights?

Is the bulb size H8 or H11? (Same thing??) What do you guys recommend for the closest match to the headlights? I know that the headlights burn @ 4500k, but I can't seem to find anything close to it that's NOT HID...I just want to replace the crappy looking yellow light emitting bulbs...

So far I've found these @ www.car-gym.com

PIAA Xtreme Force 4700K H11 - $67.95
PIAA Xtreme White 4150K H11 - $65.00
PIAA TERA 6000K Ultra White LED H8/H11 Bulbs - $85.00

Let me know what you guys think. If anyone has some already installed...please provide pics! Thanks!!!

On another thread theres a pic of a new TL-S with Nokya Artic White Pro Halogen 7000k H8 35 watt output bulbs. They look MUCH whiter then the stock yellowish fogs. I ordered a set today for $30 with shipping. I am sure I will like them from the pics I saw. I just hope they last more then 3 months like Silverstar's in my Tundra.

Yes, plug and play Do a search for Nokya Artic White Pro Halogen 7000k H8 bulbs. Thats where they are. Some guy from Germany put 1 in and compared stock on one side, and the Nokya on the other. They are MUCH whiter

I used MTEC 4300K bulbs for my foglights. The bulb size is H8. I used it because it has lifetime warranty and much cheaper than PIAA. You should definitely try to use a brand that's reputable. I used some cheap brands before (Eurolights) and the bulb exploded multiple times. It wasn't fun taking the headlight housing apart cleaning all the shattered glass.

Anyways, time for some pics.

Before

After

You can see that my foglights in the after pic matches the HID pretty well, although it is still marginally more yellow. However, I'm happy with the current setup.

Nice! Thanks for the pic ck25! Weird...I guess our fog light takes both the H8 and H11?? I don't care as long as the H11's fit. See the light output difference though? The stock brightens up the ground, whereas the MTEC's are faintly visible on the ground. I wonder if PIAA's will give off more lumens than the MTEC's...it should since it's a higher quality brand...though the more color coating blocks out the lumen output....blah! Since the PIAA's Xtreme Force is rated at 4700K, but appears as a 6500K, it best look good. lol! I'll provide pics once I get them.

actually, when i was using the stock bulbs, i was checking the illumination of our fog lights, and i couldn't really see the difference when they're turned on or off. that's why i don't really care if the new bulbs give lower illumination than the stock bulbs.

i think if we really want to use fog lights as "fog lights", we should be using the amber bulbs.

I honestly would not go with MTEC's or Nokya's...but that's just me. I've been a loyal customer of PIAA's for awhile (due to it being a popular/well-known brand) until I've decided to try Hoen bulbs. At least they have an actual site with pics to support their products. Oh, and customer service is great! Check them out at http://www.hoen-usa.com/index.htm

Waiting for my order to arrive...will post pics as soon as they're installed.

Btw, do you guys all disconnect your battery before installation?

I also have the Nokya Artics mentioned above. I think you'll be happy with them!

You're saying NOT to get Nokya or MTEC's... and you're recommending a bulb you haven't even tried yet?

The Nokya's are great, and I used to have them in my Subaru for my main low beams. Had no problems, and they looked great.

Converted, I was just expressing my own opinion...so relax buddy. If I said "don't buy MTEC's or Nokya's" then you'd have a valid argument...

Now, you're right about me promoting something I've never had any experience with, but based on its website contents and customer service, I think I'm confident about the product, and my purchase. I mean, how many sites illustrate their products in action? I'm talking real pictures and on more than one type of vehicle. Have you gone to Nokya's site? MTEC doesn't even have one... lol!

SO FAR my Nokya's look nice and white. I don't care about blinding anybody, just wanted a white bulb to match the HID's. They fit the bill for $30 shipped.

No, I'm just saying that many of us have used Nokya's and for many years. Website development doesn't really have much to do with how good the bulb performs.

I'm sure the Hoen's are great, too... but I wouldn't suggest somebody look elsewhere if the Nokya's are available, they're great!

Guys, Imho the main question of this thread is "what is the size of the fog light bulb in 07 TL(S), H-8 or H-11?"

--rodneyc77, I personally would, but since I'm on a lease...I rather not. I'm already looking forward to my next Acura...hopefully a coupe.

yount79, it appears that everyone had success with both sizes, h8's and h11's. I bought H11's because they're rated at 55w instead of the 35w found in the h8's.

Converted, if the Hoens fail me, I'll look into the Nokya's sold in a local car shop in Korea Town. LOL! You live pretty close compared to some of the other members. Perhaps we could meet to take some photos of our fast girls.

I'm up for it any time. I'm all stock except HID fogs and an AEM intake.

Do you have the 6MT? I've always wanted to see how fast the 6MT was...

So yeah, H8's are the way to go guys!

I think I'll just get the neverburnout 4300k hid's to compliment the headlights...any other brands I should look at?

yount79, I do apologize for advising others about the wrong size...but I can assure you that Hoen's Rep. told me "H11's" for the '07 TL-S... If you want, I can fwd you the email...Just call 2checkout.com and they'll assist you in the process. Since the bulbs are the same price...the worse case scenario would be you sending it back for them to replace it...Again, I deeply apologize for the inconvenience it may have caused.

to the guy's with the artic white's, how close is it to the hid's in person?(pics never do justice) i'm anal and in that case the white's would have to match the hid's perfectly.(that's why i did yellow) i can't see a halogen matching the hid to where i would be satisfied.after looking at the yellow's i might try the white cuz it looks iffy to me now.(still way better than stock)
