No... If you want fogs lights to do what they were meant to do which is cut through fog and rain, the best thing is a yellow bulb. Putting hids in reflector assemblies not made for HID's will only scatter that light every which way and would actually hender visability more than help unlike hid's in projectors like HID/LED headlights use.
My opinion would be to swap oem bulbs which are 35watts (same as DRL) and swap for 55 watt Nokya Ion Yellow bulbs. But thats if youre looking to keep you lights for great visibility effectiveness. Otherwise swap for hids.

^^^^OP want brightest bubl that why I recommend HID since there are no 55w halogen can be brighter than an HID bulb.

Don't be one of those idiots blinding oncoming traffic with your improperly setup lights. Do what you can to keep your lights setup correctly to benefit your view of the road without impacting other's view of the road.

stock bulbs, ordered yellow overlays from bluebatmobile on the forums. From outside the car they look very bright, inside the car its not a huge improvement but surely helps in bad weather

The stock fog lights were designed to use halogen bulbs, so that's all you should put in them. Don't put HID bulbs where they don't belong.

this is what i have right now...
I like the blue, but they just dont seem that bright like its hard to tell if they are even on without looking at the fog light on indicator.

HID's would be brightest, whether you want to run them or not is up to you. I have 4300K HIDs in my stock location, they point very low and do not go above the cutoff on the headlights. I find they blend in well with the headlights and brighten the road better. Never been flashed for them. When people put HIDs in their low beams they're much more annoying as they are aimed higher, and on all the time at night.

Also 3000K does put out more lumens than 4300K+, unless they're cheap wrapped bulbs that reduce the output more. If I had bumper fogs I'd go 3000K but I didn't want them right next to the headlights that yellow so I went with 4300.

I've got yellow nokyas in that spot on mine and I love em, a lot of people think they're hids for some reason. Pretty bright too and they help a lot in fog and rain. I'm gonna switch those to 5000k hids when I install the accord fogs, then put yellow overlays on the new fog lights

Just to demonstrate, I don't think HIDs in 04-06 fogs are annoying anyone, normally I'm opposed to them but I had some lying around and tried it, and left it.

Obviously it looks a little funny cause my car is pointing up a hill (hate my driveway) but you can see they're not glaring everywhere, just enhancing the lows.

Keep in mind that by going to Nokya's from stock, its a jump from stock bulbs (35watts) to Nokya's (55watts). Makes for a more powerful light spread while also only being $9/bulb. Anyone with Nokya's in their fogs care to compare to those overlays or even 3000k HID's on a 3rd gen?

Not for 07-08MY... As for the most recent poster's question, Nokya makes a 35watt version but hold that thought if people think a 55watt halogen bulb will melt the housing of our foglights then explain why this has not occured with the folks putting HID's in them?

3k is the color you want to go with if you want the fogs to be yellow. You can always add an overlay if you want to intensify the yellow color. I have morimoto bulbs in my car and love them. Of course they cost a little bit more than eBay bulbs, but you get what you pay for. You can order these bulbs from theretrofitsource.com

Also the majority of the replies in here to the OP's question relate to HID's since they are the brightest lights you can install. Not that tehlowely said anything about HID's I just presumend that's what he was referring to since that is what most of the replies are about in this thread.
