Without spending $900+ for a cat back system, none of which sound amazing on a V6 IMO, your best bet is to try "stage 2" exhaust mod. Best sound I have heard from a TL and the job is relatively cheap. Have a shop cut out the mid muffler and replace with a straight pipe, then if you want you can also change the stock resonator to the magnaflow or dynomax. Tons of info on this site if you search. Also, type in type s stage 2 in YouTube and plenty of vids pop up. It's not an annoyingly loud sound just a little deeper and a little more volume than stock. I personally do not have this done to my car, but that's because I just don't have it in me to hack up the exhaust in my low mileage 6mt...basically, I'm a pussy lol.

7k miles less is hardly what I would call a lot fewer miles. You both have great cars

Yours actually has double the mileage of mine lol, and mines an early built 07 with late 06 in service date Regardless of that though, I was just simply stating the best way to get a little more volume and tone out of the car without having to go with a full out exhaust system. They will run you $900 at minimum and as high as $1600ish for the RV6 true dual. Some of the systems sound decent, but I personally have never been a fan of modded V6 exhaust sounds. Not only that but none have tips that look or fit as good as stock IMO. RV6 is very nice, but I feel they designed to the tips to fit best with aspec kit. I feel they stick out too far on stock Type S bumper, plus they have a slight downward angle which I don't like. Great system though and probably would be my first choice if I was to do exhaust.
