Body Coloured Splashguards...to install or not?

well.. we're in the midst of the rainy season here in Vancouver, BC with winter fast approaching.

So question is.. should I replace the full set of black splashguards I got on now with my newly purchased white body coloured OR wait till Spring 2013.

I guess this is more of a question of how durable are these body coloured splashguards? they get dirty and all but does the paint chip off easily?

they were purchased from an Acura dealership and are OEM. car is not lowered.

Paint holds up very well on the painted ones. I took mine off the car when I got the ASPEC kit and cleaned them up and they looked brand new. Black splash guards on a different colored car look

I agree, put them on.....will look better matched up and they are splash guards that is what they are meant for is to keep most of the debris from hitting your car......so why not just toss them on? Rather have them take the beating and not my paint.

Speaking of splash guards though I need some in DMM....Where I work I keep getting rocks tossed up onto the bottom of the door and behind the rear wheels

The painted ones look sooooo much better than the black ones. I say absolutely put them on, infact I think they actually improve the overall look of the car as weird as that sounds.

I have them on and they don't look as bad as the black one, IMO black one make your car look cheap.

First off ... will you be leaving the lower mainland this winter ... if so .. wait till spring .. the road sand/rock will kill them .

If not .. do it now .. BUT have a look when you take the others off .. you will see an imprint in the fender paint .. If you can find some of the clear film and apply it to the fender over cut in the shape of the mud flap by 1/8" .. this will keep them from wearing the paint any more.

Yah...only reason I was hesitating was cuz the car is dirty with no chance to wash it during the nonstop rain we are having and so the splash guard being fresh and new contrast to the dirty white car lol......but screw it! Installed them this morning.....the mess under the previous splash guards were gross! Caked on dirt!!! Anyways, it'll look better once my 18" a-specs are back on next spring.

The gunk underneath the previous black set:

Solid advice thanks. I'll be sticking to the main roads this winter so not much exposure to sand/rocks. Really depends on the winter we may have.

The color keyed splash guards give the TL the finished look. Go for it.

I enjoy the black plastic ones on my NBP. As long as the colors match it looks nice.
