Best timing belt kit for the money? Gates? OEM?
Hey all, just got a 04' TL couple months back. Has 94k on it now, I'll prob just have the timing belt done for piece of mind soon.

What is the best deal online on a complete TB kit? In another post of mine i asked a TB question and someone replied the Gates kit is OEM.

Should i get this Gates kit for $156?

Or a OEM/Honda one, which seem to be double the price?

If Gates is OEM, then why pay double for Honda to repackage it?

Honda is only repackaging the belt, the pump and tensioners are different between the OEM and Gates kit.

Did you replace your TB yet? What did you use?

nah, only the pump is not OEM at least in my Gates kit. Everything else is OEM. pulleys/tensioner is Koyo in the gates kit.

^^^Yup, entire kit minus the water pump is OEM..

and why do we have yet another thread on a subject that has been discussed numerous times?
