So, pretty soon I will be needing to replace my trans.
Some folks told me about Jasper transmissions but after reading some reviews of them on AZ. It's best I stay away from them.

thought about it but from what ive been told they only replace broken parts.
Remanufactored trans gets its entire guts replaced.

I'm waiting for a mechanic to get back to me on what his work entails. Just trying to get a rough estimate on what a remanufactored would cost.

There was a guy on eBay selling an updated reman but I can no longer find the listing.
I think he was in the Carolinas somewhere and possibly charged 1300.

I would check out Home - Transtar Industries. Transtar offers a number of warranty options with the free warranty being 18 months or 18,000 miles. Their best warranty is 36 months or 500,000 miles for $194. I would probably go with them.
