B1 maintenance cost and warranty question
Hi everyone,
So the maintenance minder on my 2008 TL is showing up that service is due soon with the code B1.
1) My dealer is saying it will cost $130. Do you think this is a reasonable price to pay considering I am a complete car n00b? I browsed the forum and it seems many people have got it done for a cost much higher than this. On the other hand, a lot of people save money by changing the oil themselves, etc.
2) I got the list of stuff that needs to be done from the service manual. If I try to save money by doing some of the maintenance externally, will this void the warranty? I have the standard bumper to bumper extended warranty.
