Azine rocks! Thanks to all the Azine Greats!
I just did the 3/4 pressure sensor change and there's definitely a noticeable difference in shifting. Will be doing the Redline D4 next after coming back from my roadtrip.
Thanks to IHC/Inaccurate/and many many others for your contribution to this community. I wonder how many other models/cars out there has this type of community support and knowledge. This alone makes it worth it to buy a TL even if it was shitty :-)

Honestly this forum was more of the reason to buy the car than the car itself...Thanks to all the old school greats too!

I did D4 too, but probably should have done the racing. Either way, it's not the end of the world and can do it next time. I did notice a difference even with the D4.

I absolutely agree with the sentiment expressed by the OP. While I rue the day I ever found this place for what it has done to my wallet (partially sarcastic here), the wealth of knowledge, quality of posts, and general culture are unsurpassed by any of the several other message boards on which I participate. Well done folks!

I have to agree. I knew hardly anything about cars in general and absolutely zero about my TL when I started reading Azine.
You guys are the best! I've been able to clear my headlights, put in LED flashers, LED interior lights, a CAI, replaced my tail lights, clean up my exhaust tips, make my brakes shiny again, and the list goes on
Honestly I've probably saved as much money by reading Azine and not taking the car in every time there's something I need done, as I've spent buying awsome things I learn about here.

Most definitely. I had a G6 before and when I was with their forum, they are nowhere compared to acurazine. I love this site and the community because everyone knows everything. If there's problem with this car, you will find the solution. This is site made it more a reason for me to buy this car

Read IHC/Inaccurate's thread on type f. Though I would love to experiment and get the faster shifting. I don't really have a need for it. I am just interested in using a better quality base and getting smoother shifts. Also, want to get rid of the annoying double bump when going into drive.
I also do not have a garage. So, working on my car requires about an hour of prepping and cleaning (75 pound jack, 2 stands, 300 piece mechanic tool box, torque wrench, wheel chocks, drain pan, etc...) Way too much work to play around w/ the fluid.
It's very quick and easy to do. Just jack up the front driver side (remember to turn the steering wheel almost all the way left before jack up). That should give you access to the sensors. 4th is a piece of cake. 3rd requires you to remove a plastic splash. Top bolt is easy, bottom bolt is a bit of a pain cause of the space. Gotta go in from the bottom (easiest this way) with a 10mm wrench (think it was 10).
You'll notice a difference if it's starting to shift rough.
Which article did you use to clean up your exhaust tip? Mine looks like it has permanent "blackness". Saw a few threads but not sure which one works best.

This is correct!
I removed the paint using Bar Keepers Friend and all I used was a rag (no steel wool) and it took me like 5 hours. I had worts from it too.
Now it hurts me because I took off the black paint for no reason, thinking it was just soot or something. Now I want the black paint back.

I did it last summer so the blisters went away for good.

Use Bar Keeper's Friend on the outside of the tips.
Leave the inside black.
