Sorry....but she done. In a car of this age, the bags firing is probably the nail in the coffin. Add on top of that the front end damage, fender, door, skirt, wheels, suspension, and who knows what else....she done. The value of these cars isn't up there these days so it won't take much to be declared a loss. Only the body shop and insurance company will know for sure what the final say is.

I'm thinking the parked car jumped out in front of the OP's TL; this is the same scenario which happened to me back in 1998 when my house jumped out in front of a new S-Class Mercedes driven by the owner's 17 year old son (who'd gotten his Driver's License the day before). Fortunately, while the S500 was toast, none of the five teenagers in the car were hurt; my house was saved because the car, having lost most of the right front suspension after hitting one of my pine trees, managed to dig up the piping for the sprinkler system which kind of served as an arresting wire like on an aircraft carrier, and as such, stopped about five feet from my house.

Talk about downplaying the situation. I was only expecting OP to have ran over a parking curb @ like 20mph pushing the wheel back in the wheel well.
Not the ENTIRE FRONT END DESTROYED.
Yea.... she's gone.

Totalled....
New dash, airbags, bumper, headlamps. core support, subframe, trans mounts + any cracked components like axle, endlinks, tie rods, etc.
Looking at a few thousand in labor alone + parts....
Your car is worth 3K in clean condition AT THE MOST.
You can buy it back, part it out and get some money back vs just getting a check cut (if you have full coverage). Or buy parts from junk yards and parts recyclers and hope you can fix it at home and find a shop that's willing to do the necessary work. Most places wouldn't touch a car like that unless you pay cash upfront.... it's 15yrs old and not worth much if you don't pay the bill.
