I am considering buying a salvage title TL at auction to use as a parts car. Has anyone bought a salvage title vehicle before from auction? Could you share you experiance with me. I figured if I can get the vehicle cheap enough I can rob all the parts I need for my TL and sell off the rest of the car and still be cheaper than buying parts individually.

i have done this before.but to buy at a insurance auction you need to be a licensed dealer or rebuilder to buy salvage.

its a good idea if you have the room and time for a full part out of the car

I have, as was already mentioned its good if you have time for a full part out of the car. and it will be cheaper than buying parts individually, i think thats what salvage car are supposed to be bought for, and not to repair them and use as daily drivers.

I'd like to buy another one soon, I've bought the car from my friend and not at the auction, now I'm looking for cars at auto auctions such as easyexport but i'm not sure if it'll also be so cheap.
