2 great threads in the Second Gen forum.

Are you going to learn how to use "SEARCH"?

skip the first 4 pages and read post 147 and beyond for correct vac port located at the TB
NOT the old method of the small vac line that went to the rear of the intake manifold.

any DIRECT full intake vac works - such as the brake booster vac line on any car
Just look for something that goes direct into the manifold base, or at the TB assembly, those will do nicely- it should suck your finger TIGHT to the hose if its a winner

Remember to get something to clean the TB plate as well.
Here is the sefoam DIY read page 1 then SKIP to page 4 or 5 post 147 with pics of the port
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...3&page=1&pp=40
AT the TB, all others are bs and not to be used anymore
then skim the next pages for a review of procedure for warm up and drive after- failure to drive it after will result in CEL and less dramatic results- you want to the seafoam to make the crud gooey then blow it out with hot engine exhaust by driving NOT revving in a parking lot!!!
PM me if any questions
here is the main list of DIY for you too- its found on the gen2 main thread list
https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...6&page=1&pp=40

01tl4tl, at what mileage would you recommend doing this procedure? I have about 30k on my 06TL and thinking about seafoaming it.

btw, is the hose the same on 3g and 2g? I just find the hose that runs from the intake manifold to the intake arm?

you are not looking for the right thing
Look at post #147 on the gen2 diy, it shows a rubber hose, slightly larger than a normal vac line, that connects to the front edge area of the Throttle body- where IT bolts to the intake manifold.
On Gen 2 it runs across the top of the rubber snout/tube that goes from the air filter box to the intake manifold- and then connects to a metal line in the rear side of engine.

If you cant find that- gen3 diy is in the works- go to the brake master cylinder and BEHIND it- a large hose connects from the brake vac booster, down into the intake manifold directly
Thats fine to use as well

okay i think i know. THanks! And the brake master cylinder seafoam method works for every car? Just looking for the black round housing on the driver side and use the hose that runs from it to the intake? Much appreciated, 01tl4tl, nice to have helpful and knowledgeable ppl on this forum!

to the best of my knowledge- the brake booster line works on every brand of car I have looked at - BUT always follow the line to the intake and confirm there is not anything else hooked to it.
There are usually a few direct ports on the intake of most cars and trucks.
If it pulls HARD vac at idle- thats the one!
Pour very small amounts of foam at a time if the hose is too large for the can, or pour sefoam in a cup and dip and remove hose from it
- sip sip sip- let engine stabilize- sip sip- wait -sip sip, smoke will appear from the tailpipes and the engine may stall a few times- restart it
if you have helper keep it running with the gas pedal- do that
And let us know how the fly by wire throttle hooks up - I havent seen one yet
