my 954? I love it!, had it for 2 years now, I was a Kawasaki guy before this, fit and finish is awesome, and it has plenty of power for me.

moregrip,
I have had tons of bikes, here's a short list: Kawa 450, Kawa Tripile 500, Yama 650 Turbo, GS750, GS1100, Ninja 900, GSXR750, CBR1000, CBR600F2, &VFR750 (in that order).
Anway, I've been off bike since 1997. I took my friend's R1 for a test ride, and that's just to much bike to baby sit! I'm looking at either the 600 class or the RVT1000, I also like some the of exotic bikes like the Aprilia.
Take care,
Mike Smeezy

My bikes have been 88 Kaw Ninja 600, 89 Kaw Ninja 750, and now 02 CBR954. You might check this bike out, you can get them now (new) for about the price of a new 600(04) and IMO it's a better street bike because you have more available torque at any rpm, although it still pulls like a raped ape!
I've been riding for many years, but took about 5yrs off, and from what I remember then to the way it is now, it seems like the general driving population is alot more aggressive.
maybe I'm just getting old, but it seems like I have to twist the wrist a little more to stay ahead of all the TL's and such.

Moregrip,
I didn't even consider the 954, but as you can see, I really like Hondas, my only problem with the CBR 900's was that 16 inch front wheel, which is gone on your model?
But on to my original problem... Todays litre bikes make way too much power!! Like my friends R1, that thing is a monster. I would want a bike that makes about 20 less horse power, what is your bike's horse power? I think the R1 makes about 150 bhp.
Thanks,
Mike Smeezy

2002 and 2003 CBR 954's are rated at 150 hp at the crank.
Typical dynojet BHP numbers range from 129 to 134 (rear wheel).
with 132-133 being the average. The extra torque also makes it much better when riding two up
