Acura TL 2008 with salvage title
 

I was looking at a 2008 acura tl with salvage title for 3000 is it a good or buy not?What should I be aware of?The car has 186k miles automatic transmission

no, you can find non-salvage TLs all day for $3k...

just a note; some insurance companies wont insure a salvage titled car..

Why is it a salvage title? That's a high price.

It had side damage but its fixed now

When things seem too good to be true, they often are. Those few pics make it look clean, but the fact that the seller has not provided a detailed description, along with 4 mediocre-angled pics makes me believe they are being vague for a reason. Speaking of being vague, you'll get a more detailed response from the people on these forums by providing details yourself. Find out the service history, location, recent repairs, issues, etc. and tell us about that. We can't help you if you simply ask "is this a good deal?"

The shots are such that they might truly represent the condition of the car, or they may be taken at the perfect angle to be analogous to putting "lipstick on a pig". Take a look at the car in person, preferably in direct sunlight, take pictures of the body panels, the seating surfaces, and the dashboard above the glove box. Then get the service records and the CarFax, and then we can talk. :)

It all depends on when damage was done. If the car was only a couple of years old, maybe $20,000 damage would total the car, but if it was just a couple years ago, maybe $4000 damage would total the car.
