3G TL Interior LED Questions

I will be changing the interior lighting to match the blue instrument cluster and LEDs on the ceiling. I've got all the sizes, but I'd like some advice on what type of bulbs and where to buy. Also I'd love to see some pics of your interiors with lighting changes.

OP...dont listen to DeathMetal....he got crazy skills....

If you are planning to switch only the bulbs (dome/door/trunk) buy from Superbrightleds dot com....I got my LED's from there over 4 years ago and all in good shape....I got the 9 LED ones for the dome and 12 LED ones for the door/trunk and SMD's for the license plate....

Now if you have a set of balls and really want to tackle the full interior led swap, then DeathMetal was nice enough to make 7-8 DIY's for each and every part, I would follow that step for step and you should be golden....

I would do the full interior swap the minute I locate my balls

DeathMetal is being modest. He did an EPIC set of write ups on upgrading the interior lighting.

I ordered the 6LED angled flanks yesterday for my license plates, along with a 5LED 360° blue pair for the doors from v-LEDs. Figured I'd give that a shot before ordering the rest.

Next week should be fun - JLC CREE reverse LEDs, LEDs for the license plate and the start to the interior project.

I saw a 2011 Lexus gs on the road today and man do those 6K tag lights look great. First, it makes me excited to get my own 6Ks which are in the mail. Second, makes me think blue is not the right interior move for me. Any opinions on going 6K inside?

Trust me, I have plenty of ponies in my pimpin' stable.....I just don't think an all blue interior is right for me. However I will move the blue 5SMTs around in the cabin to get a feel for it - I haven't completely ruled blue out.

I don't think the blues will get much play time in my TL. The 6Ks are great in the rear. After I tackle to OEM accord fogs, 6Ks throughout the interior is up.

The left bulb seems a bit dimmer than the right, so I may adjust it. I left the trunk liner off because my JLC CREE reverse bulbs will be here tomorrow....

the sidemarkers are already LED, unless you are referring to the signal markers that blink when you use your turn stalk.

I looked on ebay from the seller. they dont have the 30 led board anymore but http://www.ebay.com/itm/24-LED-Bulb-...#ht_500wt_1127

that should work. be warned though its redic bright lol. this one looks like the newer model of the one i have in my trunk. looks way more sturdy than mine. (connections wise) but yeah I was lucky the one I found just barely fit this one will fit perfectly down the center. but once again crazy bright!

lol thanks!

I got them from a friend of mine who did wholesale on them a while back (like a couple of years ago). he stopped doing that so I dont know if he can still get them.

I will take pics of them as they sit right now, so hopefully that will give you an idea of the kind of LED.

I'll also dig up some old pics of them when they were still in the box.

I've had them now for about what, going over 4 years? none of them flicker nor blink. they dim on cue when the lights start to turn off. no flickering whatsoever.

i will also try and take new night pics. havent took any since Ive been busy with work.

Maybe its just a bad connection. My license plate light is kind of off and on due to a weak connection. I'm going to take it all apart and try to improve the tightness of the wires when I get my new reverse lights in from Vled.
