I count calories sometimes. Honestly, I am terrible at this maintaining weight thing. I'm either going up or going down. I'm 5'11 200-210 lbs. I try not to worship the scale.

I've been doing bad with my eating. I've slacked off for about a week and a half and I'm starting to feel it. I need to get back to my eating and gym. Ever since starting the new job I've been going to the gym from 5:30-6:30 instead of 4:30-6:10... I'm actually about to run up to the store and get some stuff for the rest of the week probably make some tuna sandwiches and call it a week.

That's fair. There was a time in my college years that I went on creatine and etc. But, I found it made me sluggish and honestly, I was not comfortable with ingesting the supplements...Firstly, what exactly IS the source of protein? Having seen cancer take my loved ones and the science behind THAT just a general unknown, I also was wondering what were truly the long-term effects of taking this stuff daily?

If I really had to have protein, I would go at it directly from whole foods. But, per my post to Taco, it's not something I actively follow or measure (protein). My diet would probably be best described as the "Okinawa"?

Right. I only get protein from the traditional sources with the occasional exception post-workout if I can't eat immediately after.

When I count calories sometimes, I guess at the weight of protein. I'm not using a damn scale.

I use a scale when I meal prep.

I literally measure for my deli turkey meat.

If Kurt could drink beer.. he'd be drinking Michelob Ultra or Miller Lite
I drank a 12 oz bottle of beer the other day.. just looked up the calories.. almost 500 kcals.
I then drank 3 more similar to it..

Did I wake up and go straight to the scale.. No.
I woke up cooked rice, made a whole slab of bacon, longaniza, and a dozen eggs sunny side up (for fam not just me you filthy animals, altho I could have totally eaten all of it)
Now I'm not some ignorant fuck, but life is to be enjoyed.. will I die sooner than if I had tofu and room temp glass of water.. probably.
But I've known guys who lived harder to be old AF, and guys who budgeted their whole life to live to be 100 only make it a third of that.
If I was anxious about every little thing I'd blow my head off

Be happy, live in moderation, and don't give a shit about anyone's thoughts otherwise
If you really want to lose weight, I heard a drug addiction does wonders
Maybe just starve yourself. I hear people go for nearly a hundred days of not eating shit (or anything else for that matter)

I swear to you.. rubbing your chris p bacon into a runny egg and shoving it into your mouf is worth dying for
Plus some longaniza, rice drizziled with shoyu, plus what's left of that egg in one bite.. last meal shit.

Now I get a workout in.. I wrestle a bunch of dudes who shove their crotches into my face
They seriously dip their balls on my forehead.. but hey.. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but I enjoy it.

My co-worker pulled up today...
in a Jeep Grand Cherokee...bragging about only paying like $48K for it out the door.
He normally has loaded up BMW etc...he's like, bro, what a deal...never had a car with this much bells and whistles...
Could totally tell he talked himself into it and now he was trying to convince everyone else he's happy.
It's nice...but not for fiddy

I heard they have lifetime warranties on their cars too. I mean, yea cool lifetime warranty, but what does that say about the reliability...

Wait, he bought just a plain ol' JGC? Not event Srt. Could have bought a used one for that price, maybe even less.

Exactly...
it says they own the problem forever!
No, not SRT. Otherwise I would have probably high fived him.

I've been over the idea of getting myself American muscle. Mustang, Charger, etc. But, the next car I get I need to be happy with for a while.

Thought about a truck, but trying to see if I will benefit from one when my pops owns one and lives 15 mins from me. Or I can buy a Fred Sanford truck and smash around.
