Does anyone know what to for extremely dry skin on a dog? Poor Tobey is scratching like a motherfucker until there's no fur left in some spots. I'm 99.9% sure it's not fleas.

People suggested an Epsom salt bath... Yeah... good luck getting an 80 pound dog to sit in a tub of water. I mean, I can bathe him but I don't think it's enough to absorb into his skin.

I was suggested using a fish oil pill. Well I gave him one yesterday with his food... only to find he had severe explosive diarrhea on the floor while I was sleeping.

So now What​​​​​​? I don't know what's causing it... I figured it might be his dog food, but the nutrition in it seems pretty good. Any suggestions?
