I have a shitty 5.2 sony receiver.. I think I'm going to upgrade to a Yamaha 7.2, new gen coming out so the old pro series are taking some big price cuts.
Those pro series are multi-zone and control through app.. which is sweet.

App control FTW! My Onkyo has TX-NR525 has a remote app and a Zone 2 as well.. I've never use the Zone though.

Mutts are the way to go... too many of them out there that just need a good and loving home. They also generally seem to be healthier and live longer than many pure breeds. Not always, but generally.
It's nice if you can find a place that will let you take the dog home for a weekend, just to see how it behaves with Cha, you and the Mrs., and your lives in general. Being at a shelter for an hour doesn't really give you a good idea... granted, you never want to bring an animal back, but if you're already excited for a particular one, you're just making sure it's the right decision for everyone, including the dog. I think by that point, the odds of it going back are pretty small.
We had the same option with Toby, but we knew within just a short walk with him and a patio beer afterwards to seal the deal, that he was staying with us. We just milked the rest of the weekend because he had to still go back to get fixed and we didn't want to give him up
