J, to go that fast you need 3 things (and no, I'm not trying to belittle you or be an asshole, just discussing )
1. Power. Unless you have a Fast and the Furious length runway that never ends
2. Stability. Cause them forces get wicked.
3. Gearing.

you're all right though- I never even considered the Gearing being the shortfall. I was just thinking about the first two. Are there no aftermarket solutions to address that? You'd think with the huge aftermarket support for the mustang, there is a way around it.
