Baseball is the cricket like game right? Where the juiced up boys hit a cowskin wad with the stick before running to a padded hideout, right?

And you're saying that the winner of the competition gets to keep North Carolina?

What an odd sport.

Winner leaves the United States, hence why a LOT of people are rooting for Florida.

I don't want to derail Chadpinder's thread any further, but, I ended up popping the hood and taking a picture of the engine layout vs. the wheel locations.

Found this to be rather interesting (sorry for the terrible picture):

The engine is entirely behind the front wheel... in fact... the wheel extends an inch or two past the block.

So I immediately started thinking the S5 was out to lunch with it's design. Until I realized that it is AWD, is it not? If so, that makes sense. I just have a drive shaft going to the back, so the engine can be behind the front wheels. If Chadpinder has AWD, the engine has to be in front of the front drive axles... his transmission is essentially where my engine is, to be able to send power to the front appropriately. It all makes sense!!

I'm pointing out his stupid question is a bit stupid.

Like they say- there's no stupid people. Just stupid questions. (my lawyer says I have to say that, after the last altercation I got into )

So, just FYI, the cup of coffee I made this morning was on point. It came out just right.

I know you were all wondering.

Isn't the new Audi layout going to a transverse mounted engine in the regular, non-S/RS lines? So it'll move towards a more FWD like AWD rather than a RWD like AWD system.

I don't really pay attention to Audis but I was a bit confused when I first saw a longitudinal mounted engine in the Eth5.

No. You can call me stupid. It's okay. It's not wrong to point out true things.

So the entry level models will be transverse? Seems odd to design one chassis for two completely different layouts. It's like they're designing two different cars then.

Look at the issues Honda had with the NSX when they went from transverse to longitudinal

Evidently. According to a guy who isn't me, but who talks at me sometimes in the office. I don't really know. Because I really don't care.

I've heard from a few people that have visited both that they prefer Land over World. Something about it being cleaner, better maintained and that World was just too damn huge.

I dunno. I've only been to Land, so I comment one way or another

Been to both and I prefer World just because it's farther away, bigger, more things to do and a real vacation. Probably has something to do with it being in my backyard and I've had an Annual Pass for 6 or 7 consecutive years now..
