well, today, guy probably in his 60's...missing a leg, prosthetic had american flag all over it...standing AT ATTENTION day before Veteran's day with a sign that said "My family could use a little help, USMC"

It's probably the only reason why I carry cash anymore.

I have my initial judgment of panhandlers but my default response is to usually buy them a sandwich and beverage. Routinely do it if I run into one. The guys at the side of the road that show up at my car window...I usually will give them a couple bucks. Again, I'm not to judge and I just wish them well.

Went to Coney Island.. Poor guy came over and asked for the crust of the pizza I had
Shit.. gave him the crust and last slice.. even gave him my half drunk ice tea.

I've let two complete strangers and their two dogs move into my place, to help them get up and on their feet. They moved here from out east, looking for a better life and work, and were fucked by their first landlord, the week thy moved here. They aren't paying me rent, and their dogs are fucking up some of my shit. But you know what, I was in dire straights before too, and needed help. I'm just passing along the Favor.
