My first choice was MS6 but they're too fucking rare to find up north in clean condition. Plus they a bit on the chubby side, but because power gets sent to the back they're still quick. If it wasn't of this clean MS3 I might still have looked for a MS6. Or something else.
I have a stupidly long excel spreadsheet of all the cars I thought of buying and I swear the GF thinks I'm neurotic and splitting hairs in half with all this hp/lbs ratio, 0-60s, FWD/RWD/AWD yadda yadda automatically color coded everything. Maybe she's right.

Sorry accidentally skipped this. Converts to 4600 US I believe. summer and winter tires (summers are good for trash though imo, like 3/32), 2 sets of wheels (painted black stockies + steelies).
Front right speaker is blown though so that'll be one thing to change. Rest of the car is stupidly clean. I honestly had trouble finding issues with the car, which makes negotiating a real PITA.
Lots of the older american cars that had slight power increases have been botched a bit/grouped together instead of just making additional entries. Some cars with different body styles/AT or MT, awd or fwd/rwd I took usually the heaviest weight. I think I should keep going and add more to this list in a cleaner fashion, can always be useful in the future.

Car was exchanged at dealership when the guy bought something new (Hyundai dealership lolwat), sat in the lot for around a month and they apparently pretty much "sold" the car a few times, but every time it was kids that wanted financing and they can't finance a 11 years old car... no shit. And they couldn't scrounge the cash anywhere. Apparently even some group from mazda3quebec forums showed up and they were all arguing who was gonna buy it... and no one could so they just walked away sad.
I test drove the thing alone for 30 minutes, salesman called me after 20 thinking I was on the run or something.
When I brought him back the car he gives the key right away to this guy in his mid forties/early fifties with his wife and they go test drive it, I knew just walking past them he was gonna buy it, full blown midlife crisis douche dad with tribal tats and underarmor shirt. Motherfucker had the cash for sure.
Take it with a grain of salt, but this was told to me after I bought the car anyway. Apparently old dude called before me, but showed up at the dealership after I did. After he came back from the test drive (I was gone, had to go pickup my brother so we could haul the car back to my place) he started throwing a tantrum in the showroom saying he was there first (nah, you just called) and what was the point of letting him go on a test drive for a car that was sold and they should cancel the sale and sell it to him instead, he was ready to plop $500 more. He even pouted for like 15 minutes until his wife was able to make him leave.

Also for the record the turbski was changed under warranty on 21st of May 2015 at 68k miles. So I think I'll be able to ride it a good amount of time.
Shocks were changed during the life of the car depending when they start being noisy. EGR was changed at owner cost post warranty. Like $1K.
Mags were painted black by the Mazda dealership, customer paid half because the clear was peeling and the car barely went outside during winter. Car was treated for rust from 08 to 16. He only didn't rustproof in 2017.
There's so much paperwork it's ridiculous. The owner really loved his car.
