Sooo... not gonna lie. I got in major shit once while driving. By 7 cops, all on pedal bikes 
it was june 30th, day before Canada day. Was driving downtown to pick up a home boy, before heading south to Calgary, to visit another homeboy for Canada day. The road that led to his apartment was always full of homeless drunks and nothing more. Decided to do a VTAK 2nd gear pull. Hit just over ~90km/h, just before fuel cut off in second gear... in a 50 zone.
Looked to my side... oh... shit... 7 cops on bikes talking to a couple homeless.. already too late, as I was turning left into the apartment parking lot. Cops saw and heard me. They were heading in, with the only entrance/exit now completely blocked by them.
Well I was a smart 23 y/o. Started arguing with the cops. They wanted me to admit how fast I was going. I said “I dunno.. 54, I think”
well i I was on the severe losing end of that argument. My licence expired a month earlier on my birthday and I didn’t notice. My registration was expired on my birthday also, so that was out. And my insurance was expired (had new papers at home). They ended up writing me a shit ton of tickets and impounding my car.
My friend, who was half drunk, walks out of the building and sees this all going down. Cops are like “you better drive if you want your weekend to still happen.” He’s like “
uh... ok, if you insist...” we drove quickly to my house and got the insurance papers. The car was literally in the impound lot for 15 seconds. I was at the gate, paying the fine to get it out as the tow truck driver was still backing into the parking spot. $270 later, I got my car back and we were off to Calgary.
I got his with with a bunch of other fines, but they dropped it all when I went to court to fight it. Ended up paying a bit more in fines, but no demerits or anything, so I was happy. Ended up being a really fun weekend anyway
