My officemate just got a new pup. I was vaguely aware of how, uh, "thorough" some of the rescues groups are when trying to rehome, but some of the things he mentioned were off the wall crazy.

One place *required* you have social media, and they needed to have access to it so they could look at your history.

Home visits, "dog interviews", and evidently, some places don't let you pick the dog, rather they place you with one they thing is suitable for you.

Fuck that noise. $50 pound dog and they cut the balls off before you take it home. Pit Bull it is!
