But what they're really doing is going to HR, telling them to give you more, sitting back, having several beers and a few cigarettes (because it's Friday) and they'll get back to you by end of Monday with either what you're asking for (assuming it wasn't a ton more than what they offered), or they'll meet you in the middle.

yeah, so he's just mulling it over. If you're asking something like 4-8k, I'm sure it'll be no big deal. If he needs to stress about an additional 5k, maybe you shouldn't be working there anyway

I've heard from a few NSX owners that the five speed is actually more entertaining to drive then the six speed. They say the gear ratios in the 5mt are better suited to the car.
