Super fun to drive. It makes peak power at like 7000rpm so you really have to ring it out to 8250rpm LOL. It's the worst MPG I've ever had in a car. About 9mpg when I'm dogging on it. All highway I can get close to 275 miles though.
I mean yeah, the S85 is pretty unreliable, some say it's the least reliable engine BMW ever made
Typical things like Rod Bearings, Vanos pump/solenoids/lines, are things to look out for. And of course, the SMG (I couldn't wait for a 6MT any longer lol).
But she was a 1 owner car who garaged it the entire life, lower mileage, so I can't go wrong.
