2018 TLX Badge on 3G Shark Grill?

Hi guys,

I love the new Acura 2018 TLX badges. I know its not for everyone but I like big badges, like the new Mercedes badges now. I fell in love with the new Acura badge when I saw it in person in dealership. It is alot bigger than it looks in person and the logo is behind a layer of plastic or badge.

For those know don't know what I'm talking about, https://pictures.topspeed.com/IMG/jp...ura-tlx-27.jpg.

I'm having a hard time finding the part number for it. Does anyone know how it attaches to the 2018 TLX grill?

If it has a flat back and it just attaches by pins or screws, I was thinking of getting the shark mouth grill (https://www.endlessrpm.com/shark-mou...-carbon-fiber/) and attaching it on.

You guys think it'll work?

Since you are doing custom work, the badge will have to be custom attached.
the reason why the badge is large is because it holds sensors for the crash mitigation feature.
Try looking at a parts diagram found at www.acuraoemparts.com

i don't think it's sold separately..

The parts diagram on the parts site isnt' loading for the front bumper but unless you feel like buying the entire grill for it

I did a little shop. It works in theory. Looks pretty badass too. The parts will be really expensive though. Labor wise shouldn't be too bad. All it takes is for one person to pull the trigger...

It looks decent, but the problem is the new front emblems are so large that I think it will dwarf the rest of the grill opening and look unusual. The new "A" emblems I've seen on the TLX's are grossly oversized. Not to disparage those who do like big emblems, to each their own.
