2007 Tlaxcala type
I need some help from you guys. I found a 07 tls type with 58000 original miles lady owned and 1 owner. 6 speed manual. It’s my wife’s cousin and she needs to sell it.So my question is she’s wanting $10000 for it and it books for less than that. So what would you guys do? I know it can be a little rare but not sure on the price. Thanks!!

doesn't matter what the color combo is for that price and mileage.
if its in good condition and maintained regularly, give her 9k and bring it home.
its a steal at that price (if the above is all good)

If you can get her to 9K it'd be better since you could use the extra 1K for timing belt waterpump service if not done. If it's done give her 10K and be very happy!

You people know your stuff!!! I’m looking at it in 2 weeks since she’s not advertising it. Should I wait until 100k to do the timing belt or is because of the age? Thanks!!!

I know!! I really don’t need the car but if it’s rare I like to keep it. I’ve always been a Honda/Acura fan. On my fourth accord now. My 02 accord v6 3.0 auto runs peppy for what it is just curious how the tls will compare to it as in speed.

Funny thing, I moved directly from a 2001 V6 Accord into a 2006 TL 6-Speed, so I have a pretty good idea on how to answer your question. Simply put, the TL Type-S will flat suck the doors off the Accord in literally every performance metric.

Personally, I don't drag race, but coming out of toll booths and blasting up on-ramps shows my 2006 is quicker than most cars on the road. A V8 Mustang (or any other pony car you care to mention), or say a BMW 340i will pretty much suck the doors off a TL, but then again, different classes of cars.

I agree I don’t race either it’s just nice to know what these cars can do. I had a 3 and 5 series bmws and I was impressed but the maintenance is crazy expensive!!! Too much plastic parts lol.

What about octane rating for these cars? Can you get by wit 87 or do u have to go up to 93 octane? I made my mind up if all checks out good I’m going for it!! I didn’t realize how fast these things are. I like sleeper cars lol

This car is by no means a sleeper....
and +2 for not discussing octane on here again.

I’m just running 93 octane . If was tuned for it use it!! To me I really didn’t know much about the tls I thought the tl was a better version of a accord after research they r really nice cars. What other cars are in the same class as tls?

I laugh every time when I heard "Book value", during my past 2 transactions I had to told potential buyer if you value by the "book" why not just buy a car from that "book" instead. its a used car so the price will have wild swing in price along with your geographic location as well.
as far octane gas goes, just put water into the tank, its free and it environmental friendly.

My commute is basically 90% hwy.
On average, I get 8L/100km (that's 29mpg!)
A full tank, if I really really push it, I can get 720km per tank (as per the MID which is pretty accurate I find).
600km a tank is easily achieved.
I'm super happy lol

My typical 60/40 highway/city daily commute typically ranges from a low of 26 mpg in the winter to a high of 29 in the summer. The best open road trips I've taken averaged up in the 35 mpg range which in turn yielded a range of about 550 miles for a tank.
