2007 Acura TL, 2007 Toyota Camry SE V6, or 2007 Acura RDX?

Hey guys ( and gals ). I'm new here and I currently have a 2005 Acura TL 5-Speed Automatic w/ Navigation ( it belonged to my older brother, but he gave it to me when he got his fully loaded 2006 Lexus GS 300 AWD ). My dad said that he'd buy me a new car and I can't decide between the 2007 Acura TL, 2007 Camry SE V6, or 2007 Acura RDX ( all the vehicles would be fully loaded ). Based on educated guesses, will the 2007 Acura TL get (1) the AcuraLink Satellite Communication System with Real-Time Traffic, (2) an updated Acura/ELS Surround Premium Sound System, and (3) an MP3 / auxiliary input jack? Also, the 4G Acura TL is coming out in the fall of 2008 as a 2009 model, right? Thanks guys ( and gals ). I appreciate any input. Take care.

Depends what you are looking for in a car. Do you want performance, AWD, gizmos, etc?

Personally I would be happy with the 05TL and just keep that until the new gen comes out.

Not many facts out there on the '07 TL, but a lot of discussion.

Check out this thread: 2007+ (ALL NEW THREADS DEALING WITH 07+ TL WILL BE MERGED HERE)

Test drive the Camry and the RDX and compare them with your TL. You should have a good idea by then.

All I really want is decent performance with a lot of technology. I was looking into the 2007 Acura TL because of the possibility of a Type-S model. I was hyped about the 2007 Acura RDX until I found out that it has a manual passenger seat ( WTF ), no LED tail-lights ( WTF ), and no memory settings ( WTF ). I've always hated the Toyota Camry, but the 2007 Toyota Camry SE V6 is very nice IMO. I'm hesitant about the 2007 Acura TL because the 4G Acura TL may be greatly superior when it's released in the fall of 2008.

Stay with your TL, or get a 2007 TL. This way, you avoid getting the 1st production year of either the Camry (even the SE will have softer suspension tuning than a stock TL, and the Camry is bigger and IMO uglier than the TL) or the RDX (Acura's baby wanna-be SUV, or TSX on stilts). The 1st years will have bugs, while the 2007 TL will probably just be mid-cycle with additional refinements.

Why get a 07 when you have a 05, unless the Type-S is that much of a change, I would just wait it out 2 years and get teh 09 anyways

I would stay happy with the 05, unless the 07 really has something that strikes you

well said, the only difference of the 07 would be a more updated navi, side turning lights mirrors as well as an additional brake light on the bottom spoiler

The 07 TL will look slightly different with more features as you mentioned plus more power so it is worth waiting and checking out.

The RDX looks a bit small especially the rear seats and its a first year.

When does the RDX hit the dealers?

acuras site says fall of this year. Also stay with the 05 tl and get the 08 RDX, )08 Camry or the 2009 TL. This cars will be more refined by then and wil also have no glitches, plus trading in the TL will bring you at a loss compared to selling it next year or the year after.

Just in case you're open for suggestions, you could always get you an Infiniti M series. Raving reviews about that vehicle. They're a little pricey, but figure a 07
Type S loaded will easily get you in the 40Ks.

keep the TL and wait for the 09's unless something dratic happens to the 07's and sideswipes all of us on acurazine. the camry is a grandma's car and the RDX will have too many problems. honda's first turbo......i'd be weary.

get the one that makes you feel special. That said, a frequent car trader shared this wisdom with me - never update to the same car/model if it's just an annual update or even a slightly updated engine. It's normally never worth it.

Well anything besides camry works fine, couldnt agree more with ding069 that the camry is grandma's car. Then again comparing the TL wif the camry... its really obvious which one of the two is the better car. The camry is not even in the same league wif our TL...

I'd say just stick wif your TL for now, why sell a car thats only about 2 years old? If I were you I'd wait till the TL runs out of factory warranty (4years/50,000miles) before switching to a new one.
