2007 3G TL Type S Noob
Greetings 3G owners,
I'm new to TL's but, old school cool Honda since the late nineties. I've been through 3 EF-CRX's, an SH-Civic sedan and I just came from an FG2-06 Civic Si (10 years, 194K, original clutch) that I hydro-locked during a storm. I loved that car and spent a month trying to find a car that would ultimately suit me. After countless TSX's, Accords and a few other TL's in between, I stumbled upon my ASM 3G TL Type S - 6MT whilst test driving a TSX at a local Acura dealership which was traded in days before. I was looking solely at sedan's as I've been in a coupe for ten years.
I can say this, I'd driven a few cars and was at that point mostly sick of looking. I guess the universe heard my pleas and I got a test drive. Suffice to say, I was slightly impressed and I got a good feeling from the car, that literally, at that point made me feel excited to drive more than any of the previous cars. So, 3 days later, I'm a happy TL owner and so far, after a week of driving, still like the car. It's been a pretty natural transition so far.

Congrats and welcome! Put up some pics of your new car.
Try to to get the 6mt mods if you can, especially the friction modified mtf fluid (search forum lots of threads). It makes your shifting feel like butter!
any plans for your car?

OMG, mods right now are kind of a nice to have but, I may or may not mod this one... My original goal was to find a car to hold me to over the Civic Type R. However, I've started with interior lighting with LED's and need to replace a foglight. I also brought over my old weighty shift knob from my Si.

THanks for the heads up. I'll keep that in mind. I have a feeling I'll be doing the 105K service in a few months. Also, need to keep an eye on my brakes too.
even if no mods, you need to do the friction modified fluid asap. it will make shifting so much better and is the only fluid people should have with this 6mt setup. there are some 3rd gear pop up problems and everyone that went to this fluid basically eliminated those issues. even with no issues it's highly recommended to go with this fluid.
