2007-2008 Base TL Fog Light Replacement Help!!
Hi, while I love the HID headlamps on the TL, Acura really gave second thought to the fog lights on the 2008 TL; they are the dimmest lights I ever have had on a car; the owner's manual says they are 51W bulbs but after removing one myself they are actually 35W
I have another car which has 55W halogen fog lights and there is a world of difference in brightness; I'm not interested in upgrading the fog lights to HID Xenon's but I was hoping someone could recommend a slightly higher wattage halogen bulb, perhaps a 45W or 50W, that I could get to replace this?? I went to Autozone and they did not have a higher wattage halogen fog light for the TL; any help, information, suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

yeah, I don't want something that has a yellowish tint to it, I live in NJ the state troopers here are really bad with non-factory lighting on vehicles and pulling them over so I'll probably just live with the fog lights that came with the car; I really don't even use them that much, except during foggy or rainy conditions, because the HID headlights are so bright they are more than enough when the weather is good at night to see the road
I love the HIDs that came with the TL, you don't know how many times people high beam me when I have my low beams on; then pay back is a biotch when I put my high beam HIDs on them, then they really get screwed up, hehehehe!!!!

I have yet to be stopped by a cop or flashed by oncoming cars while driving with all my lights on and I have an 04 with the full TLS conversion. I have HIDs in both my upper and lower fogs...and switchbacks
But, for a stock bulb size option maybe you could try something from theses guys

I had a pair of them a while back when I first got my car and they were pretty good. They looked a lot whiter than any other OTC bulb I had tried prior.

i changed both too when one went out, stock they come a little yellowish but i got white/blushish ones which look like HID but are not. They are a little brighter too but not much and they are H8, but really, with the HID lighting up the road the way they do, I keep the fogs on more for the look...

has anyone tried or heard good things about the PIAA 9006 Intense White Fog Light from tirerack.com for the TL? they look pretty good but are 55 bucks and before I shell out that kind of money I wanted to hear some thoughts and opinions about them? also is the wattaged on them going to be okay because I don't want the things burning out the compartment?

Old thread but I'm in the process of upgrading my fog lights as well. You cant go wrong with PIAA or OSRAM. I've been strongly advised to stick within the OE watts range however. Otherwise you risk the chance of melting your housing. Ive actually chosen to go with a set of6000k 60W H8 bulbs by OSRAM/ Yita Motor. Stock is 55W so hopefully it wont hurt anything.
