Welcome to the forum,

there is no supercharger as of yet, but Comptech is developing one and states december or early next year it will come out

I had a TRD supercharger installed on my 96 Avalon. It cost about $3600 including installation and provided an increase of over 100 HP.

I was another "OLD Guy" in an Avalon, but I was racing all over the place and winning some of the time..

check with the Alpine folks to see if they have a kit yet. they provide many of the oem kits. they manufacture out of S. Africa

not Alpine stereo. and yes, they make S/C kits, Magnusen makes most of the raw S/C pieces that Alpine uses to build S/C kits.

can you find out from Comptech and post back here ?? i would only trust a unit (kit) made by Eaton or Alpine since they've been doing it for a long time. i don't see Weiand or B&M getting involved...

i would rather see a turbo in my car than supercharger just for fuel economy

I read in modified mag that the Comptech S/C will be good for 60 horses.

...and add a 50HP fogger NoS nozzle sticking in just aft of the turbo, it would act as a intercooler dropping intake charge by about 70 degree F !!! now that would be sweeeeeeeet !! having a turbo with adjustable waste gate would be icing on the cake. dont know where you could fit a turbo on TL, but i would sure like to see someone fabricate it into the engine compartment.....

There is a bigger problem for turbo development. I've been told the exhaust manifold is welded on the head. If that is the case you are talking MAJOR work to do a turbo kit correctly-if at all. It can be done, but it is not going to be a kit that is for sure.
