2004 A-SPEC shift knob needed!

The shift knob in my 2004 TL A-SPEC is beat up pretty badly. I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions on where to purchase a quality OEM replacement. Thanks!

AFAIK,

There is nothing different between base and aspec trim shift knobs. At least for manuals.

IMO, go buy a nice weighted knob. http://www.heeltoeauto.com/maven-cou...on-10x1.5.html

Telling us if you have a manual or automatic might be helpful.

If you have a 6mt, the knob is like 80$ from acuraoemoarts.com. However what u can do is buy the 2010 TL 6mt which is the exact same thing for about 37$.

They raised the price on the older to knobs I think cause of the demand for them. But they're the same thing and are interchangeable.

sorry I didn't clarify: I have a manual. The reason why I was hoping to replace OEM is because I like the look and my car is mostly stock (very minor tasteful changes). I do like the Maven knob though. I purchased what appeared to be a near replacement on EBAY but the knob ended up being much smaller and lighter and looked crappy. Thanks for all the input and still open to suggestions!

Sorry Quann, but im gonna have to say that you are wrong. The 04-08 knobs are different than the 09 and up. They are similar but the 04-08 knobs are a little more thicker...And I know this because I went ahead and bought a 09+ knob for my 04 and I noticed the difference rite away

We covered this before in another thread. I measured all three. 04,08,12. Acura made a change in the knob between 04 and 08 although same PN.

measurements on mine
Diameter taken from 3 to 9 O'clock at the widest leather diameter
04 1.82"
08 1.77"
12 1.77"

It appears somewhere in production they changed supplier of 3g shifter. So the later 3g have a slightly smaller shifter which is the same diameter as the 4g. So it looks like the 3g shifter that is bought today is the same bulk at the 4g bought today. I also note on the 4g silver is not a brushed more a gloss finish.

I would buy the 4g and be happy with the savings.
