Since this thread comes up in a google search, despite the age of the thread, I thought I'd post something actually useful :-)

While it's true that the service manual drawing shows that the brake bleeder on the automatic is a 10 x 1.0 size, however, this refers to the actual bleeder thread size and pitch: it's an M10x1 thread. The service manual pretty much never mentions what size of tool one needs for any particular fastener. A fastener (or bleeder in this case) of size M10x1.0 does not mean that the hex portion where you use a wrench is 10mm. Typically M10 bleeders would use a 10mm wrench but this is not a given and could in fact be larger like 11mm.
