well, part me wishes it would sell for that much since I have a 6MT KBP too. I'll list mine for $32K!

According the KBB, a car with a manual transmission is a deduction in value, so yours is only worth 1/4 of a 5AT KBP J

According to any car site the mt is always worth less value. You always pay more for an automatic from the dealer when its new. Its an add on.

And that's why KBB is useless at determining value for more desirable cars. If 6MT was unwanted, people wouldn't be posting threads all the time, asking if they should just settle for an auto transmission...

6MT fo life.

I skipped the debate about pricing because value is subjective but I saw that the OP (and hopefully a few lurkers) might be interested in a 6MT TL-S because the car isn't exactly the easiest to find.

With that said, I have a 2008 TL-S 6MT WDP on Taupe with ~81k miles. The car was purchased in 2011 with 20k miles. I'm the second owner and it hasn't been driven much over the last few months being the 3rd vehicle so I'm open to letting it go to someone else at the right price.

Asking price is undetermined at this time and probably won't be $22k BUT I'll gladly accept $22k. Shoot me a PM and we'll talk if you're a serious buyer. Please have funding ready to go for whatever offer is presented.

Like everyone else said, it's the 6MT or nothing. It is like finding a unicorn but it's so worth it. The 6MT comes with a standard LSD, while the AT does not, so that for me right there is already a deal breaker.

OP it sounds to me like you know you want a 6MT. If that's truly the case then do yourself a favor and don't short change yourself. You're spending a good chunk of change and I see a lot of people on here saying that they wish they waited.

I found my gem and I never thought I would. Bought mine in 2011 and even then it was hard to find one that wasn't beat to hell. (I realize they are even harder to find now) I was pretty specific about having an '08 6MT with low mileage. Drove hours to look at a bunch without any luck. Finally left my # with an Acura dealer that moved a lot of used cars. Told them my criteria. Within a month or two I got the call. Was there that night and saw it while it was still being detailed. Had first dibs on an immaculate bone stock KBP with ebony/silver interior, 29k.... had nothing but a minor door ding. Of course I didnt regret waiting one bit. (For further encouragement I also found my '98 Integra Type R bone stock a few hours away when I was casually looking to buy one ... and I would have hopped on a plane for one) Best things come to those who wait ... sounds cheesy, but somehow I manage to find the rare ones. They are out there! Good luck ... and PS I just saw one on Autotrader with 60k and it looked pretty clean ...

Learned in Europe, MT pretty much the norm up until recently or higher end makes/model. So i learned and love MT. However having had 2 serious knee surgeries on my left peg (rugby related) left my knee aching after a long commute in stop and go traffic. Living in Houston, Florida and now DFW I felt a AT was better than an ice pack.

But if it is your "Eleanor" make sure its what you want.

Hold out for a 6MT.

I love my KBP TL-S 6MT on the Ebony/silver interior. Took 6+ months to find it. Bought it with 60,018 miles in Nov of 2014 and now it has 69,901. Parked during the winters.

These 3G TL-S 6MTs will continue to sell above KBB for a long time. Same goes for quality, low mileage Legends. I own one of those too.

Actually...

I have found an 08 TL-S 6MT for under 20k. But I have a 12 TSX SE I'm still making payments on. In considering going upside down on it, am I crazy? Just kidding I am crazy. I bought this TSX over an 07 type s wdp with 40k one owner because of warranty. I drove myself to insanity. I'm debating if I should make the leap and go see it monday, it's 7 hours away.

I don't know...
maybe?

I honestly didn't get it for the rarity though, I got it because I love the color and a 6MT is the only thing I'll buy. I love Carbon Bronze more...I've never been much for reds.
