'08 TL Type S IMRC actuator install

Hello everyone. I posted this problem once before but I guess I'm not the smartest. I posted in the wrong place. Anyway, I have a code 1078 on my 2008 TL type S. The actuator is bad. I have some concerns about installing the new one when it arrives. Does it have to be timed to the flap in any way or do you just bolt it on and it finds open and closed itself? Thank you for your time.

Try bolting it in to see, I think it sits closed and only opens at high rpm. So the actuator or motor will be in the right position with the engine off.

Question,

Where did you purchase your actuator? Iíve been looking like a mad man but canít find the replacement part. And how much did it cost you? Iím having the same issue with p1078.

Thanks!

The title of this thread is for '...IMRC actuator install'. IMRC=Intake Manifold Runner Control and that is #5 on the link I provided above for an '08 TL-S.

You asked where to purchase said actuator.
