'05 TL Fog Light Bulb Upgrade
Forgive me if this has been covered, but I could not find what I was looking for with a search.
I cleared my headlights a few weeks ago and i nearly threw up when I saw my headlights and fog lights on after I was done. I just bought 30 LED switchbacks for the park/turn signals, but I also want to get rid of that yellowish color from the fogs. Can someone recommend a cool white colored bulb (that matches the headlights) and part number?
Here's a pic of the unsightly lights...
Thanks in advance!

Do you want to just replace the bulb or put a hid kit for the foglights so that it matches with the hids? As far as bulbs you can look into Luminics, Nokya, etc. Just for future reference if you don't know or not but the foglight bulb is a 9006 bulb.

Thanks. I'm looking to just replace the bulb. I don't have a budget for anything more than a bulb replacment at this time. I just dished out $1300 for 3 amps and a 3Sixty.2
9006 - that's a headlight bulb on some of the older cars! thanks for the info.
Does anyone have personal experience with a simple bulb upgrade that helped make the color more uniform? I'd like to buy something the AZiners can personally speak for.

the sylvania silverstars were good for a while color-wise, but they soon turn yellow and mismatch.
i personally was looking for a match for the OEM HID, but settled for a 6000K HID upgrade.

Funny most including myself like the look of 3000k yellow fogs. great jdm look. Fogs were really meant to be yellow as yellow light cuts through fog better than white light. Adding hyper white light in these will only prove things worse for you on a functional level. But like my grand mother used to always say " a hard head makes for a soft behind"...lol. Good luck on your choice bro.

**edit** 3000 Kelvin?
Anybody have a link to an example of these?

OK, so it appears the 3000K is an HID, and would need some conversion. Looks like I'll just be looking for a yellow 9006 for now.....

Well see...they're fog lights... Any whiter and they're useless in fog

Truth.
IMHO the fogs on the 04-06 aren't generally on for "looks", they just don't add anything to the visual appearance of the car....unless you just like the visual appearance of driving around with your brights on. My view is they are purely functional, and therefore keeping the yellow'ish bulbs keeps them as functional as possible. I generally use mine on dark country roads since they shoot off to the side of the road very well...as well as I use them in the snow/rain when I have difficulty seeing the road markings closer to the vehicle. The rain/snow function is exactly why you don't want to go to the whiter/blue light.

I replaced my fogs with the OEM replacements when they went south, #9006 as they're always on when the headlights are off since I have a DRL module installed. I didn't want to blind out other drivers.

Well if we want to get pedantic about it, he's right. "brightness" is a measure of luminosity. You can have a high lumen high color temperature fog bulb but it won't be worth a damn in fog because it's useless light (aka in the wrong spectrum of useful light during foggy conditions)
Your latter evidence reinforces efficacy, not luminosity
