Looking to replace a beat up front bumper on my 05 TL and would like to put on the 06 with fog lights. Anyone attempt this before? The assumption is that it's a straight swap but assumption is the mother of all f...ups so hoping some's tried this before.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the 2004 through 2006 front bumpers and fascias are identical; the face lift didn't happen until 2007.

That is what I think too . . . better to ask a few more questions than end up having to modify something unanticipated.

Any recommendations on bumper orders?

I mean you can still get a face-lift bumper (07-08) but that will simply just have the cutouts for the fog lights. If you want functional foglights, you're gonna have to spend some time wiring new ones, buying housings, mounting the housings, etc. Honestly might be more trouble than what it's worth considering there's already foglights in the housing of your headlights now.

You could always look for an '04 ASPEC bumper, they look a bit sportier and will fit directly onto your car.
