I think this mods was cheaper than my Meguiars Ultimate car wash lol

If I ever need another shock sensor I will let you know!
Plan on adding one to the passenger side behind the glovebox somewhere.

whats the story with the glass sensor?
GP, if i wanted the shock sensor like you have, and the glass sensor...can you point me in the right direction? or does yours go off if you tap the glass too?

My shock sensor is from Compustar, it has a sensitivity adjusting wheel with 1-10 on it. I have it at "3" I think. I have it connected to the 2nd stage, bc Acura alarm does NOT support "warn 1st" b4 alarm. Place it so it's to the center of the car as much as possible & not on anything that will/could absorb the shock. So that impacts from front/rear bumpers & all 4 door panels will trigger the alarm.
My glass break/sound sensor is from DEI. Microphone is directional, placement is very critical, should be level with glass & NOT covered up.
I didn't want the microphone to be an eye sore, so I hid it behind the center air vent. Tapping key on the window glass/windshield will trigger the alarm.
I have my set up rather sensitive, semi-trailer/Harley will trigger the alarm. Also hail triggered the alarm about a month ago.

Thanks GP...I may add a little "hub" for the power, ground and trigger so that I could piggy back a tilt sensor too. This is a GREAT addition to our OEM alarm. I've wanted a LITTLE more protection, without going aftermarket.

Ebay is usually cheapest to grab those three =)
If I end up adding more sensors, I'll probably just tap the new sensor wires into the primary sensor wire.
Glad to hear people are trying out this DIY!
Way more traffic and attention than my cold cathode DIY lol

My thinking is that if you were to try and break the window (based on the way GP's demo video went) you would probably set off the shock sensor. So, IMO I would pick glass or shock, but shock seems more all encompassing.
Now, if someone wanted to not touch anything inside your car and just steal your rims, the tilt sensor would nab that. Although, I would venture to guess even without the tilt...if you have locks, they'd probably have to hammer a socket or something onto the lock and it will probably set off the shock too.
But yeah, shock and tilt for me.

You the man bro!!! I think I might add one to factory alarm on top of my after market alarm as well. Then I'll have the horn going off and the siren going off together. I'll know when it's my alarm better also cause the two sounds. Thanks for your help. Great job!! This page is definately getting a bookmark!

Well done mb190!
As stated, the 504D has a harness with a connector that's meant for the DEI alarms.
The 504M has a universal harness.
The actual sensors are the EXACT same!
After seeing the thread where a guy got his rims stolen, I'm thinking of getting a tilt sensor.
The 507M is way more expensive than the shock sensor lol

I initially zip tied it to the steering column but then whenever I turned the wheels I heard weird noises from parts of the shock sensor and zip ties hitting something right beside the steering column.
