Weird engine issue

So now that the weather has gotten colder and when I first start my enging in the morning when its cold it sounds weird. The best way I can describe it as is that it has a pulsating sensation and it goes away if I accelerate in park, reverse or drive. Is this something that is normal? I wish I could give a better description. Thanks in advance!

Record the issue on your phone and let the dealer diagnose.

Ya, I just made an appointment for Saturday. I get this feeling that they will just say that they couldn't reproduce my concern as I cant duplicate the issue unless the car's been sitting overnight. My car is parked at a train station and will be there for 10 hours so I'll see if it does it this evening.

I was actually thinking this as I had just filled up my tank. My idle is fine though.

I suggest using nothing but premium fuel - and, from a major supplier.

If you're cruising along at a normal speed (45) and push your foot down hard to reach a higher speed (70), do you notice a delay in the time it takes for the car to downshift and come onto the cams?

A delay longer than there used to be?

I am using premium fuel. I always use Shell V-Power.

No nothing else has changed other than the weird noise. It sounds a little like the car wants to stall but not really even close to stalling.

Quick question for everybody. When driving and then coming to stop what are your RPM's at stop. Mine stays at 1 which I find interesting because all cars I have driven usuall is around 0.7.

Thanks

I guess I will chalk it to being bad gas! I refilled my tank when it was half empty last night and it didn't do it this morning!

Good. I was afraid to say where my mind was going, because what you mentioned was something that showed up in my car.

Together with symptoms related to the question I asked you about, they decided they would have to take the time and money to replace the VCM rocker assemblies.

There's no loaner good enough for me to be happy driving it while they have my car for something that takes so long. :-)

Holy cow! How long is the dealer going to take to do this? I have had similar situation happen in a 2009 Acura TL where the engine was running similar to what I described here and it threw a CEL and many other lights. It was the same issue as you. But the dealer fixed it in 2 days. Hope they fix yours fast!

It was a while ago, and the car drives better than new.

It took longer than they intended because they decided not to use parts in stock in North America, and to get new stock from Japan made slightly differently.

The TLX is very nice, but I definitely missed my car.

shell gas is junk ... IMO same as 711.

My preference
1) Chevron
2) Texaco w/techron
3) Exxon

Now my problem is no one delivers gas in branded tankers. I used to see chevron/exxon tankers for example, now I see unmarked tankers dropping off. I asked a drive once at a chevron, if he drops off the same load other than chevron, he said he couldnt talk.

^^ Isn't Shell Top Tier? You are right about having to guess what you are really getting. It is hard to tell these days what is being delivered in those tankers. Unless you are in insider, it is almost impossible to know what is being put in your tanks.
