Looks like all they've done after the 2014 model year is that they lowered the activation speed for active lane assist?
My car needs 43 mph to actively manage lanes.

They really haven't done much. But the next gen model at least looks promising.

Same 15 second limit, same limited steering angle, lower engagement speed. Was hoping for more.

Basically all they changed from the driver's perspective is lowering the engagement speed from where it used to be (43-45 mph) to whatever it is now.
If the cameras are improved to allow this, they haven't mentioned it anywhere that I've seen.
