Think of selling my '14 SHAWD what should I ask for it?
I'm thinking of selling my white 2014 RLX SHAWD, which has 15,xxx miles on it and has the technology package on it. My wife is getting the itch for a LS460. If I decide to sell, or trade in, what would be a good price to ask for it? Thanks.

I'll be watching this thread because I have no idea. :-)
I don't think any KC1 or KC2 is going to bring a high price. They're extraordinary values to buy either new or used, but it's a commitment to run them into the ground. I think we're all in the position of losing money if we sell ahead of schedule. I bought mine in 10/2014 because that's when they became available. I think I still owe something like 20 grand on it because of the 0% financing that caused me to finance 100% of it...and I'd be surprised if I could get what I owed on it! |
KBB is a good place to start. Just put in your zipcode.

Nadaguide is more accurate...
So, did you trade in or sell it? |

I owe $18,000 and the trade in value is around $19,000 on KBB. Pooey
Does not matter. I am keeping it. |
This is exactly why I LOVE the Acura Legend line. You can steal them used because the press is just bad on them, the book on them is high and the owners who buy them new are picky so they fix EVERYTHING. Used is ALWAYS a buyers market on the Legend line of Acura. I've owned 3 legends and 2 RL's that I buy at the 80k mileage mark. Buy them for a 1/3 or less of what they were new. I put about a 100k-125K miles on them and then turn around and still sell them for $3K. Because they book so high and you can buy them so cheap you don't ever need GAP insurance and banks give great rates because book wise there is zero risk. The last RL I bought it so right that from day one I was HOPING a person would total it out. I owed $5200 less than clean retail on the thing at purchase. I am looking at 2014 RLX's right now with 70K-90K with the tech package for around $16k-$18k. So I will be able to drive an Acura RLX for a 100k-125K miles for a total out of pocket expense of around $12k-$14k after I sell it. Show me what other luxury line you can do that with? Love Acura's!
