Spare tire...just need quick answers

Sorry...i know that i can search. But i need quick answers to two Qs.

1. Spare tire...can i get one to fit in the space in trunk?

2. If so, then where? (I am not planning to upsize or anything...just a spare that would work with stock size)

Thanks in advance!! And sorry for not doing more search!

Yes - Acura makes a spare tire kit that replaces the pump and sits under the floor of the trunk. If I recall mine was about $450.00 installed with the donut wheel.

Spare tire came in handy today. Right rear tire apparently ran over an roadway object and suffered a sidewall blowout. The Jack fit perfect into the designated frame cavity. Glad we got the kit and temp tire.

Adding the spare to the RLX saved me few days after I purchased the car used in Dec/19. Hit a winter caused pothole on the hwy and split the sidewall of the front passenger OEM tire. I'm glad I read this forum and had the dealership install a spare tire kit. I was back on the road in no time. It wasn't the best location for leaving the RLX on the side of road with a flat, a flatbed tow truck would have been expensive, and it took Discount tire 3 days to ship the replacement tire. I went ahead and order an extra tire from eBay to have on hand just incase.

Mr. Gold, glad to hear your decision to buy the spare tire paid off, too. Thanks for sharing your viewpoint.

Go to www.alldiscountparts.com - order Part # 06421-TY3-A01 - pay $108.09 plus FEDEX - total will be close to $170 - includes the bar.

All you need after that is a tire - found mine on ebay (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...tion=3&_sop=15)

This worked for my 2016 RLX SH-AWD Advance
