Popping or clicking sound in the Driver B pillar?

Hey everyone.... I noticed a popping or clicking sound in the Driver B pillar.... not very loud, but my wife in the passenger side can hear it.... erratic in nature.
I have:
1) turned the car off and opened and closed the door, but still the sound even when the car is turned off (weird);
2) pulled the seat belt height adjuster up and down without any change.. still the sound;
3) I don't think it's from the rear tweeter;
4) I have the radio on and off but still the sound;
5) I have tried to see if its a reflection emanating from another area, i.e. the dash, but it sounds like it's from the b pillar since my ear is right there...
The last thing that I can think of is to disengage the car battery, which I have not yet done.
Not driving me crazy but it is noticeable and therefore i focus on it.....
Anyone have a similar situation? Any thoughts?
TIA! Mike

Do your neighbors have a cat?? Just kidding.

If it happens when the car is off, then the only thing I can think of would be an HVAC noise (compressor still running after the car is off and the noise somehow appears to come from the driver B pillar?????) Could be a faulty belt pre-tensioner????

Just my blind, wild guesses.
